The Issues At Hand
Everyone deserves a fair chance to succeed. Our nation’s success is built on the founding principles of unlimited opportunity, quality education, commitment to hard work, and the freedom to pursue our dreams. I will fight to ensure that the school system and our children are advancing towards meeting these founding principles. Read on to learn about the issues at hand, and what is being done to combat them.
This particular issue has been increasingly gaining coverage all over the world. Why exactly? Through the pandemic, parents were able to see first hand what was being taught as children were remote learning. There are issues that need to be watched and discussed among parents. In our State there are adult themed literature in the High School level books as well as corruption of innocent minds discussing adult topics in elementary schools. No educator should be pushing their own personal agenda on our children. As I have said in the past, the students should not know the educators political party through their teaching. I will be pushing for accountability and transparency, and will do everything I can to see a brighter future. Learn more and join the cause today.
This word means "the process of teaching a person or group to accept a set of beliefs uncritically." This is a very serious issue that has been impacting schools statewide. It is up to us as parents to address this issue head on, and rally the support needed to protect and prevent further damage from being done. We have to guard our children at all costs to make sure they receive the proper education that allows them to exceed once they have completed their time in the school system. I believe in parent involvement and encourage parents to get more involved in their child's education. Ask questions to both the student and educator.
I am truly passionate about this issue, as it is one that impacts so many people all over the world. I am a firm believer and supporter of medical freedom. It is NOT the Government's responsibility to force or mandate vaccines for the children, healthcare decisions are to be made by the parents or guardian. I hold this issue close to heart. I aim to maintain balance within the political system, and will keep pushing until the correct balance is reached.
This is a subject I am very passionate about, as we all should be. Over the past two decades we have seen an unfortunate increase in school violence across the Country. As a board member, I will do everything in my power to make sure our children, staff and faculty are protected. This shouldn't be a political matter, but that is what it has turned into in Watauga. The funding is out there.
Enough is enough! If we are going to have 0 tolerance for bullying in the school system, we need to be enforcing it. There are too many folks turning the other way when this takes place because the bully is a prominent figure or no one wants to bring attention to the school. Let's take a stand and hold all accountable for their actions.
If you or someone you know is being bullied, please report it to administration immediately. You can report it to the Lt. Governor's F.A.C.T.S Task Force as well through their website here.
The Bible tells us in Philippians 2:2 "Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind." The only way we can move forward is by coming together, much like charcoal. If you notice, one brick of charcoal doesn't cook your steak, it takes a bunch to get it done. The same goes for the Board and the Parents. We need to come together as one and that includes administrators, staff and faculty.
